Backtracking to the start of the Christmas season!

It's always hard to keep up with things this time of year! In the interest of a more relaxed holiday season (and a more relaxed Mommy!), I've been doing as much as I can...but not so much that I get too stressed. That said, blogging has been one of the things I've had to take a little break from over the last few weeks. As the hubbub subsides some, I'm hoping to get all of this month done before the new year...in bite sized chunks!

So pardon me while I go back to the start of the Marsh holiday season...the cutting down and decorating of our tree! We did this on December 5 and it was an absolutely perfect day. Snow was just starting to fall when we headed out to cut down the tree that we had tagged the weekend after Thanksgiving. We got home to our warm house before it got too heavy and enjoyed having a whole day to get the tree done!
The boys trying to catch the snowflakes on their tongue at the Christmas tree farm.

Watching Daddy starting to cut the tree down.

Jacob is put to work...Zack is supervising the whole operation!

He really did have to help out! It was a little hard to watch my first born be such a big kid!

He wanted to pull the tree on the car by himself...and was actually able to do it. Seriously, I'm pretty sure I'm not ready for him to be this mature!

Action shot.

Somebody else had to get in on the action! He "helped" Jacob with the tree.

I had to include a picture of them working together!

Daddy did the lights and then it was time for
putting on the first ornament.

Somebody was nice enough to go second.

The little one was very helpful...sometimes too much so! ; ) Luckily, he didn't notice when most of the ones he hung were moved.

Helping Daddy get the ornaments from the box...whether he wanted it or not.

Patience is it's own reward. Jacob got to put the snowman on the top of the tree.

Not to be outdone...we let Zack pretend to put it up too!
